I've mentioned before that I am a bridesmaid in a friend of mines wedding at the beginning of May.
With the date rapidly approaching, there has been much talk about the upcoming parties.
V is the first of my friends to get married, so needless to say I have never done this before.
...it's turning out to be quite the experience.....
The MOH and Best Man have decided that they want to through quite the parties for our friends, both of which include strip clubs. C and I have never been to a strip club....and I have to be honest it's bothering me a little.
I'm not a crazy girlfriend (meaning I'm not going to tell him he can't go) but I'm also pretty jealous and the thought of my fiance going out with a bunch of guys to look at other naked women isn't exactly sitting right.
Don't get me wrong, I trust C. But I also don't think that eight men, alcohol and free access to women is the best way to stay out of trouble.
To be honest I don't get the whole concept. A guy commits to one woman for the rest of his life, and his idiot friends decide that the best way to celebrate this is to take him out, get him plastered, and put him in a compromising situation. I just don't get it.
And I'm not biased, I don't really want to attend the girl version of this crazy going out party. I'd prefer going to a club and dancing then staring a naked men all night, but maybe that's just me.
Anyways on a lighter note I just want to wish my wonderful Big Sister and Maid of Honor a very happy 34th Birthday!

Gosh, why do you have to be so cynical?
Believe it or not, but I believe Strip Clubs were invented by women... you know, they kind of tie into the whole Adam/Eve storyline... You know, the woman tempts the man and then he lives with the repercussions for the rest of his life AND one man's mistake is cause for punishment on the rest of his gender. :)
I actually agree with you on the topic, and I am not eagerly counting down the days for this party. Some of the women reading this may balk at that last sentence, but it's the truth. I'm 26 years old, if I had wanted to go to a strip club already I would have been to one, (which I haven't just to be clear.)
I AM curious though Leanne, you mentioned "going out to look at OTHER naked women". Who's the alternative? :)
