Some Odds and Ends

Let's begin with finding out who is as excited about Glee tonight as I am?!?!

I have literally been waiting for this episode for weeks. I rushed through all of the first season just so I would be ready. I LOVE Britney. C took me to one of her concerts last August and it was AMAZING. Glee tributes are always pretty good, so I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

I had a self appointed day off today. I was supposed to have class from 11:30 - 2:30 but when I woke up it was POURING rain. I decided I really didn't want to fight this weather to catch a bus to get to one class. So I didn't. Instead I'm having a nice day that consists of sleeping in, meeting C for lunch and catching up on the 5 million readings that I am drowning in.

I realized that when I did a post on all of my birthday presents I left out this beauty....

This is the bigger bookshelf that I desperately needed, given to me by my brother and his girlfriend. When I first saw it I was sure that I would not be able to fill it. As you can see this is not the case, and I'm probably going to need another one any time now. In any case, I absolutely love it.

The final thing I wanted to cover in this post is the way I ended my summer (I realize I'm backtracking a bit again). The last weekend of the summer, C and I went to Wonderland with some good friends of ours, A and J.

C won me a carebear, who A and I quickly decided to name grumpy bear, and from that point on Grumpy bear made an appearance in all photo's

This little girl we didn't know. She was in line in front of us with her mom and little sister. The little sister couldn't go on the ride, and the mother had to stay and the other little girl could not go without adult accompaniment, so they asked us if we would ride with her. C volunteered, introduced himself to her and then took her on the ride, making sure she had the time if her life. It's moments like this that make me fall in love with C all over again. I was watching him with this little girl, someone who he had only known 5 minutes, and she was having such a great time with him. I can definitely say I spent most of the time that they were on that ride picturing the way C will be with our own children. having a husband that loves kids just as much as I do was always a number one priority and watching C in moments like this, makes me absolutely sure that I made the right decision.
Ok, I'm done being sappy. One last picture of all four of us

It was a fun day. We went on so many rides, ate way too much food and caught up with good friends that we don't get to see all that often.

And I know I was going to end there, but I have one final thought.

We picked up our wedding rings on Sunday!!!!!! And then C took them away because he is under the impression that I may put mine on when he isn't looking (that may or may not be true).

He is also pretty adament that we keep the rings to ourselves until the actual day. SO I'm not allowed to show anyone, other than our mothers. I would post pictures on here, but because I do have some bridesmaids that read this, who cannot be trusted to close the page when they are told to (Sorry girls, but we both know you would all look and just tell me you didn't), so everyone has to suffer.

I swear I'm still here!

Wow...So I am probably the world's worst blogger.

I have been officially back at school for just under two weeks and I already feel like I am drowning in books, readings and homework. I have been trying as best as I can to keep up with all of your blogs, and comment as much as possible.

My computer is finally back in working condition. We had to wipe my hard drive, which means I'm going crazy trying to get everything back to exactly the way I like it. After trying many different things to fix the stupid thing, we finally figured out that it was my memory stick that had just decided to give up on life one day. Who knew that one tiny little part could cause so much aggravation? So anyways, $40.00 later I am back in working order.

Obviously I am WAY behind on blogging, so we are going to back track just a bit. This post will be dedicated to the Labour day long weekend (Yes I am that behind).

Labour day weekend was SUPER busy for us.

Saturday we had our birthday party with all of our friends. We had them over to my house for a BBQ and then went to West 50, a bar/club close to my house. It was such a good night. I tried both apple (yuck) and strawberry (sooooo good) beer, and probably drank way more than I should have.

Purse that the bestest got for me

Amazing purse hanging hook that ensures I never have to put my purse on the floor again

All my girls. Love each and every one of them

Drinks! Mine was the one with the sugar around the rim. It was a Jolly Rancher Martini (really good)

Cheers!

Me with a beer boot (I'm holding it backwards because I was slightly inebriated at this point)

Such a good and fun night with all of the people that I love. A perfect way to end my summer.

Sunday was a day for recovery. Even though the bestest and I ventured to Walmart (with a slight hangover) to find a birthday present for B's 2nd birthday party which was Monday.

Cake that my sister's best friend made for the party

The Birthday Girl and me

N, Baby B and I

So that was our long weekend. Very, very busy as always but we are used to it and it is always fun.

I'm going to try to get back into a blogging routine, but with school and the first season of Glee which C surprised me with last week I can't make promises. I'm about half way through the first season, and am completely addicted. I have last night's premiere safely PVR'd and plan to be all caught up and ready to go by next week's episode. Maybe then I will have more time!

I haven't disappeared!

Just a quick post to let everyone know that I haven't vanished from the blogging world.

My computer crashed, and I have been cut off from the online world for over a week.

I have a bunch of updates for everyone, but I am busy right now reinstalling everything, getting my life back to normal, and of course catching up on the pages of blogs that I have missed.

I will be back as soon as I can!

27 years

Yesterday was this cutie's 27th birthday

I have to admit that this post is purely so I can post cute baby pictures that I recently found while searching for our wedding slide show.

Want one more?

ok

Cutest thing ever.

Yes, Yesterday my wonderful fiance turned 27. Which meant another cake.

This time it was a Bailey's Irish Creme Cheesecake. Also really good. But to be perfectly honest, I think if I see another cake I may throw up. This cake brings out total count up to four cakes.....since Saturday. And we're not done. We still technically are supposed to have 2 more coming. I'm seriously considering forgetting to buy the cake for the party we are having on Saturday. I just don't think I can eat anymore.

We celebrated his birthday by going to Applebee's for dinner and then going to see The Expendables. I can't say I was impressed by the movie. Here are some reasons why:

1) Dialogue - Horrible
2) Story - Didn't really exist
3) I think they managed to shove every action movie cliche in as much as possible. Examples?
-Big, pointless explosions
-Lots of guns
-Lots of violence
-Lots of blood
-Some kind of Kung Fu
There were more but that's all I can currently think of. It just wasn't my kind of movie, but C liked it and it was his birthday so that's all that matters.

So I just wanted to take this opportunity to post these

....He's SO going to kill me.....

And to wish the most wonderful guy in the world a very happy 27th Birthday.
