So apparently there was a problem with my blog and the comment section. I had C look into it and apparently it is better now.....and C assures me that he is NEVER helping me change my blog again..... we'll see....
So I figured it was time for me to blog about what everyone else is talking about....the Olympics.
I can't say that was was eagerly anticipating the start of the Olympics. I'm not very athletic (and when I say not very, I mean getting out of bed and walking my butt downstairs to get on the elliptical is an actual chore....) I didn't play sports as a child, other than dancing and gymnastics (do they count???) and skating. C on the other hand LOVES all sports, so needless to say this year I have been watching it a bit more often then normal. I have to say I am enjoying most of it.
This blog comes specifically from the woman's figuring skating short program that was aired last night. I just want to say that everyone should be giving huge credit to Joannie Rochette for what she went out and did last night. I could not imagine going out in front of all of those people and doing what she did so soon after the death of my mother. I have to admit that I cried like a baby when she finished.
She should be very proud of what she did, no matter the outcome.

I cried a bit during her skate, and then afterward when she finished and broke down. It's a completely aweful situation to be in, and I can't imagine what she's going through.
I'm extremely unathletic, but I love the Olympics. I don't know what it is that I love so much, but I have been glued to my TV pretty much the whole time. I'm not impressed that I have to work tonight, while the men's hockey team plays Russia. I think I'll have to call home for updates...
I teared up too at the end of her program. I hope she wins a medal. She deserves it!
I feel so bad for her but I think she's one of the strongest people out there to go through something like that and still have the strength and drive to compete
I hope she medals, she certainly deserves it!
