Disney!

So my random fact for today is my childish addiction to Disney.

I love anything Disney. Books, movies, memorabilia....anything. I am 24 years old and I still get excited about going into the Disney stores. I want to buy all of the new movies that come out of the vault, even if they are ridiculously priced. And I will sit an watch all of the movies (old or new) with my 5 year old niece...as many times as she wants.

I like them all, but I would have to say my favourite is Beauty and the Beast. I watched the movie a million times, and went to the play....twice....at two different locations.

I forgot it's Friday!

So you guys get two posts in one day.

My random fact for today is concerning books that have movie covers on them.

This drives me crazy.

The book is not based on the film, the film is based on the book. So I have no clue why publishers insist on a mass reprint of books with the actors faces plastered all over them. Its a waste of money.

This has been brought on by my current search for "The Lovely Bones." I saw the movie, and I have to admit I was not overly impressed. It was decent, but rather out there for my liking. So since I normally do not go to movies without reading the book first (I broke my rule because C and my brothers girlfriend wanted to see it so badly), I decided that I was going to leave my final judgment of the movie until after I read the book. On Wednesday I went to my local chapters, looking for the book, and of course I find that all of them have the cover for the movie AND were a good $5.00 more expensive just because of this. I didn't buy the book (I did buy four other books...different post for a different day).

Anyways, my random fact for the day is that books that are republished to incorporate the movie poster on their cover puts me into an illogical rage for some unknown reason.

Random Fact Friday

Ok Christmas and New Years are over, I'm back at school, and its time to get back to my blogging life. So, even though I have missed several Fridays, I'm going to make a serious attempt to try to keep this theme up.

For this week I am going to share my unnatural fear of sharks.

No I have never been attacked by a shark, nor so I know anyone who has. I live in Canada, and therefore live nowhere near shark infested waters. Yet they terrify me. So much so that I refuse to put even one toe in an ocean. This bother "C" a bit because I tell him almost daily of my desires to travel to Hawaii, but yet stress that I will not go in the water. He doesn't see the point in making the trip if I'm not going to swim. I think that if I am perfectly happy sitting on a beach and not swimming then what is the problem???

Oh and to make this post that much more random. Sharks terrify me, but yet I obsessively watch Shark week on discovery every time it is on.....

Random Fact Friday #2

Busy, busy weekend ahead of me but I couldn't break my new theme on the second week.

So for my random friday fact, I'm going to stick with Fiance's theme of this week (for those of you that don't already know, fiance blogs here),

I refuse to eat frozen vegetables. I think they are gross. They have a different texture, and a completely different taste. C has tried every way imaginable (including making Sheppard's Pie earlier in the week, with frozen vegetables and claiming that I wouldn't even taste them.....yeah....I did....) to get me to eat them but I just can't.

Don't get me wrong, I like vegetables (ok....SOME vegetables...) but they need to be the canned stuff. Actually to make this Friday even more random, they have to specifically be Green Giant canned vegetables. And yes, I can tell the difference, and I challenge anyone (UHHUM C...) to test me :)

Random Fact Friday

Two posts in two days! Its amazing what procrastination does to me!

Anyways I've decided to start this little Friday tradition. It's going to center around random facts about me, because there are a lot. It also will have nothing to do with the wedding (which I'm sure your all sick of) and will promote me to post at least once a week. It may also result in me embarrassing myself, and you all leaving me because you consider me a freak. But I guess I will take my chances!

So my random fact for today: I'm hopelessly afraid of Cotton Candy. No I'm not kidding. I literally run away from it. My friends make fun of me. And before you all ask, no I do not think it will harm me or anything along those lines.

It just doesn't look natural to me. It's fluffy, and colourful and it looks like a big gigantic cotton ball that has been used to take off pink or blue nail polish (yes I have thought about this often).

It just isn't right. And I don't care how good it is, I can't convince myself to eat it.
