Laziness

I'm not even going to try to make an excuse this time. I just haven't been motivated at all to blog.

I have been busy, busy searching for and scanning pictures for a slide show for the wedding. I have some adorable ones of baby C, that I'm trying to talk him into letting me post.

I'm starting to come down from summer, and realize that back to school is just around the corner. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Normally I'm super excited to go back to school (I'm a loser like that), I'm normally stir crazy after a couple of weeks, looking for something to occupy myself, but this year seems to be different. I don't know if my classes just aren't appealing to me, or if I've been on break for so long, I've forgotten what school is like. Really I think I'm nervous going into my last year. As soon as April comes I will actually need to find myself a real job. No more sleeping in until noon, time to grow up. Anyways enough about that, I again have some catching up to do. OH and this is my 100th post! (never, ever thought I would get here). I know most people do something creative to celebrate, but I'm just not that talented. Suggestions are welcome, anything you want me to write about? answer? whatever.

Day 22: A Website: I'm pretty boring. I have three websites, that I visit frequently, Facebook, blogger, and goodreads. Other than that I only look elsewhere for research, or if C tells me to go there.

Day 23: A Youtube video: Look above, I only go in youtube if someone sends me a link. My brother did show me this one yesterday which I thought was cute:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee6ieYi7hkM
....I hope that worked

Day 24: I live in a city just outside of Toronto. I can't really say much about it other than that C and I have big plans to move. It's not what it used to be, and I'm actually a bit of a country girl at heart (although I would never give up my high heels and cute summer dresses for jeans and rubber boots). I would love to move to a small town, own a bunch of land and have a huge country house. With horses. And possible pigs because I think they are cute.

Day 25: My Day, in great detail: Are you sure you want to know? I woke up at 7 and got myself ready to go to my sisters to watch the girls. I got into a slight argument with my mom before I left the house (I won't get into it) and had to stop for gas on the way there. I'm not great at getting gas, in fact I pretty much hate it. I picked a shell station which I thought would be fairly easy to get in and out of, and pulled up to a pump, but my gas tank was on the wrong side. Fine, I move, and get to a pump that is pre pay only (this happens to me EVERY time. I swear pumps in which I can go in and pay don't exist anymore) Now I'm pretty annoyed, but I figure I will just put the gas on my debit card and keep the money my dad gave me. Fine. I enter the amount, wrong, so I had to cancel, which takes a lifetime. I finally get it all figured out, get my gas, and try to leave, finding out the the exits from said gas station are only one way.....going the WRONG way. Now I'm fully in a bad mood. I get to my sisters, and lay on the couch, hoping that B, who normally sleeps until about 9 will sleep in today because of the little sleep I had the night before. Nope. Today she decides that 7:50 is a great time to get up. I get both the girls and myself fed and dressed, talk to the bestest on MSN for a bit (she just bought a car! very excited for her) then head out with an old friend, N and newest addition baby B, for a walk to the bank. While out I decide to stop at McDonald's to get a drink for K and myself. We walk home, I say my goodbyes to N and baby B, get in the house, only to find out that I was given coke instead of Diet Coke I can't drink regular, I'm diabetic.) Not my day. I make lunch (mac and cheese) and put B down for a nap (not going to lie, I napped with her. Had a few fights with a 16 year old trapped in a 5 year olds body. Drove home, made dinner for C and I, watched Degrassi, and Say Yes to the Dress, while C fixed my computer which decided it no longer wanted to start about 3 this afternoon, and am now blogging, and getting ready to go home for the night. I've had better days.

And Finally, Favourite Fridays at Jen's blog

This one is probably over done, but I loved the shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella. I found the writing hilarious, especially the situations she got herself into. I could also really relate to her, because I can find any way to justify a purchase. I will literally talk myself into it, using the most ridiculous excuses imaginable.

Another one that I read recently was Marrying Up by Jackie Rose. I got this book for 5 dollars at Chapters, and was actually pretty word about it, but it turned out to be really good. It's about a girl who writes obituaries for a living, who decides to write her own as a therapeutic exercise. She decides from this that marrying rich is the way to solve her problems, which leads her on an hilarious journey with her best friend to find the perfect rich man, which of course leads her to the exact opposite.

I think that's enough for today.

Day 11 - A photo of you recently.

Today is much better.

This is the most recent picture of me and a couple of friends at a soccer game.

C and I at SM's wedding

Today is also Favourite Friday, over at Jen's blog. I realized I haven't played in a really long time, and need to get back into my regular blogging habits. Today's topic is favourite FRIENDS character.

I was a big Rachel Green fan. She was so cute, quirky and fashionable. I also loved the whole Rachel/Ross plot and always hoped they would end up together, which of course they did.

Favourite Friday - Couple That Didn't make it.

So while the fiance is busy playing DJ hero, I thought this would be the perfect time to do my Favourite Friday Blog.

Jen's topic for this week was couple that didn't make it.

I was torn between two for this one. I finally decided on these two:

They are just so darn cute. And I can't say I'm the BIGGEST fan of Angelina. I kinda took the home wrecker approach to that whole thing.

A VERY close second would be:

I was so upset when the announced the separation. They were always the kind of couple you imagined being together forever.

Head over to Jen's blog if you want to play!

In other news, thank you all so much for you comments about my dress!

I showed it to C and my mom last night, and they liked it just as much as I do (which is good because I REALLY didn't want to return it.)

Here is a picture of me wearing it. (excuse how crappy I look. It was right after work, so my hair is a mess, my makeup isn't quite done. And I believe I'm yelling at C to just take the picture and that the lighting doesn't matter.)

So even though I look horrible, you get the idea. I still love the dress just as much as I did in the store, and I'm so excited to wear it to SM's wedding.

Now I'm on the hunt for the perfect shoes.

I am also trying to find a good tutorial online that will show me how to curl my hair with a straightening iron.

Any suggestions??

Favourite Fridays: Pop Star

It's that time again!

This weeks favourite Friday topic is Pop Stars. And this is when I have to make a confession. I was a HUGE Backstreet Boy fan.

So cute.

These boys were the equivalent of my life in middle and high school. I went to every possible concert, you didn't know what colour my wall was because it was covered in posters. So even though the phase is over now, they will always hold a special place in my heart.

If we're talking more recent pop stars I would have to say Taylor Swift.

I.Love.Her. She is so talented. I just recently went to her concert, and it was amazing.

I have been known to drive to work many mornings (including this one) blasting her CD and singing along.

I also have a certain respect for Britney Spears. I think despite her flaws (many of which have been blown way out of proportion by the media) she is a talented artist.

Head over to Jen's blog to play along.

Favourite Friday - Movie Trilogy

Jen's favourite Friday topic this week is movie trilogy.

This one was easy. Hands down it is.....

Great story line and I always find them both interesting and hilarious. Also, putting Johnny Depp in any movie makes it an automatic winner, but grouping him with Orlando Bloom is definitely going to add bonus points.

Favourite Friday: Favourite Animated Movie

This weeks Favourite Friday Topic is Favourite animated movie.

I have posted before about my obsession with Disney. Narrowing down my absolute favourite is pretty difficult as there are SO many that I could watch over and over and over again.

But because it is Favourite Friday, I will force myself to make a decision.

It would have to be Beauty and the Beast.

Its the ultimate rags to riches love story. I laugh, I cry, and it always leaves me happy.

I have watched the movie thousands of times (can't wait until K and B hit the Disney stage so I can have an excuse to watch them all more often). I dressed up as Belle for Halloween one year and I have seen the Beauty and the Beast play. Definitely one of Disney's bests.

Head on over to Jen's blog if you want to play!

Favourite Fridays

This weeks Favourite Friday topic is Favourite reality competition show.

This one is pretty easy, I LOVE "So You Think You Can Dance." I danced for most of my childhood (roughly from about age 3 to 15..ish). I quit for school, the workload and classes were becoming a bit much, and I was entering highschool, so my friends were becoming my first priority (that and boys). I have to admit, quitting is probably one of my biggest regrets. I loved dancing. Its such a beautiful way to express yourself (not to mention a great way to stay in shape. So I love watching "So You Think You Can Dance" to see both talented, amazing dancers (that stuck with it) express themselves, as well as watching the choreographers who give them such amazing pieces to work with.

I'm pretty much a reality T.V junky. I watch them all, American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, Canadian Idol (of course) and so one. Although this season of American Idol has left me disappointed, so I've stopped watching.

And I will leave you with two things: Moments like make my life:

And a K quote of the Day: "Auntie, One day, when B is your age, she is going to get married like you. But I'm going to get married first. Because one day, I'm going to meet a boy and he's going to want to marry me........
........And then we're going to have to kiss......

She's 5! Where does she come up with these things?

Favourite Friday: Guilty Pleasure Snack

So it's favourite Friday again

This weeks topic is guilty pleasure snack.

I'm going to go with Chocolate. Not a specific type of chocolate either, I'm pretty much good with anything. A few favourites that could top the list would be chocolate covered almonds, turtles (at christmas), Aero, twix, kit kat. Yeah I could go on.

Basically to make a long list short, you will make a friend if you bring me chocolate :)

Favourite Friday!

Jen over at A Girl in Pearls hosts a weekly feature title favourite Fridays. This week's topic id Favourite Dramatic Novel.

This one is easy. It would have to be The Time Travelers Wife by Audry Niffenegger. Everyone was telling me how good this book was, so I got it to find out what all of the hype was about. I literally read it in two days. I couldn't put it down. It was such a new and interesting idea, and her writing kept you wanting to find out more.

I also saw the movie, and while I would recommend reading the book before you see the movie, it was still good. The book was just better!

Favourite Fridays

A Girl in Pearls, one of the blogs that I follow has started a new theme called Favourite Fridays. Every Wednesday she posts a question and on Friday we answer it. I thought it would be fun to participate. This weeks question is Favourite Romantic Comedy.

I found this one tough. There are SO many options to choose from, and I change my mind SO often. I'm going to cheat a bit and list two

1) Made of Honor - mainly because its completely wedding themed and I'm wedding obsessed right now

2) P.S I love You - I always enjoy a good movie that makes me cry. I think it's good to cry occasionally.
